A Little Princess
I LOVE IT

 One of my favorite movies as a child. I loved the magical realism aspect and I loved how earnestly sad it made me. Watched it again a few years ago and found myself crying harder than I had as a kid. I loved this scene.

Nothing is impossible with diligence.

This just arrived in today’s mail, from a dealer-friend in England.  It’s the nicest wax seal fob I’ve come across.  Carved in carnelian is the image of a mighty little bee and a Latin motto: “Nothing is Impossible with Diligence.”  True.  The fob itself is quite beautiful too— in gold with foliate decoration, and the original key still attached.  Probably dates to the 1830s.

 I’ve been wanting a wax seal for a while. I just need some kind of crest or something. Love this one though.
